November 2025 in Landshut statt<\/strong> und <strong data-start=\"370\" data-end=\"381\">brachte<\/strong> junge Menschen aus Deutschland, Frankreich und Armenien zusammen. Ziel war es, sich intensiv mit Frieden, Erinnerungskultur, Demokratie und zivilgesellschaftlichem Engagement auseinanderzusetzen.<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"579\" data-end=\"623\"><strong data-start=\"582\" data-end=\"623\">Worum ging es in der Jugendbegegnung?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"625\" data-end=\"1020\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">W\u00e4hrend der Projektwoche <strong data-start=\"650\" data-end=\"684\">setzten sich die Teilnehmenden<\/strong> mit aktuellen gesellschaftlichen Herausforderungen auseinander, insbesondere mit wachsendem Nationalismus, Populismus und dem Verlust demokratischer Werte. Dabei <strong data-start=\"847\" data-end=\"867\">erarbeiteten sie<\/strong>, wie historische Erfahrungen \u2013 Krieg, Diktatur und Holocaust \u2013 mit der Gegenwart verbunden sind und warum sie f\u00fcr junge Menschen heute relevant bleiben.<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"1022\" data-end=\"1051\"><strong data-start=\"1025\" data-end=\"1051\">Methoden &amp; Aktivit\u00e4ten<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"1053\" data-end=\"1171\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">Die Begegnung <strong data-start=\"1067\" data-end=\"1074\">bot<\/strong> einen vielf\u00e4ltigen Mix aus Workshops, Austauschformaten und kreativen Methoden.<br data-start=\"1154\" data-end=\"1157\" \/>Unter anderem:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1173\" data-end=\"1874\">\n<li data-start=\"1173\" data-end=\"1286\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p data-start=\"1175\" data-end=\"1286\">Die Gruppe <strong data-start=\"1186\" data-end=\"1198\">besuchte<\/strong> die KZ-Gedenkst\u00e4tte Dachau und <strong data-start=\"1230\" data-end=\"1240\">f\u00fchrte<\/strong> eine gemeinsame Reflexion durch.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1287\" data-end=\"1399\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p data-start=\"1289\" data-end=\"1399\">Die Teilnehmenden <strong data-start=\"1307\" data-end=\"1317\">nahmen<\/strong> an einem Zeitzeugengespr\u00e4ch Herrn Gabriel Berger teil.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1400\" data-end=\"1504\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p data-start=\"1402\" data-end=\"1504\">In Workshops <strong data-start=\"1415\" data-end=\"1441\">besch\u00e4ftigten sie sich<\/strong> mit Pers\u00f6nlichkeiten, die sich f\u00fcr Frieden eingesetzt haben.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1505\" data-end=\"1616\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p data-start=\"1507\" data-end=\"1616\">Durch das Demokratiespiel <em data-start=\"1533\" data-end=\"1544\">\u201eQuararo\u201c<\/em> <strong data-start=\"1545\" data-end=\"1556\">lernten<\/strong> sie spielerisch \u00fcber demokratische Entscheidungsprozesse.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1617\" data-end=\"1741\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p data-start=\"1619\" data-end=\"1741\">In Podcast-Workshops <strong data-start=\"1651\" data-end=\"1667\">produzierten<\/strong> sie eigene Medienbeitr\u00e4ge zu ihren Perspektiven auf Frieden und Europa.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1742\" data-end=\"1874\">\n<p data-start=\"1744\" data-end=\"1874\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">Interkulturelle Abende <strong data-start=\"1767\" data-end=\"1783\">erm\u00f6glichten<\/strong> den Austausch \u00fcber Kultur, Traditionen und Lebensrealit\u00e4ten der drei teilnehmenden L\u00e4nder.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 data-start=\"1876\" data-end=\"1918\"><strong data-start=\"1879\" data-end=\"1918\">Ziele, die das Projekt verfolgt hat<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"1920\" data-end=\"1983\">Mit \u201eMake Peace not War \u2013 Stage 3\u201c <strong data-start=\"1955\" data-end=\"1973\">verfolgten wir<\/strong> das Ziel,<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1985\" data-end=\"2455\">\n<li data-start=\"1985\" data-end=\"2081\">\n<p data-start=\"1987\" data-end=\"2081\">historisches Bewusstsein zu st\u00e4rken und Antisemitismus, Rassismus und Hass entgegenzuwirken,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2082\" data-end=\"2164\">\n<p data-start=\"2084\" data-end=\"2164\">die Medienkompetenz junger Menschen durch praktische Podcastarbeit zu f\u00f6rdern,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2165\" data-end=\"2244\">\n<p data-start=\"2167\" data-end=\"2244\">demokratische Beteiligung und zivilgesellschaftliches Engagement anzuregen,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2245\" data-end=\"2370\">\n<p data-start=\"2247\" data-end=\"2370\">Freundschaften und gegenseitiges Verst\u00e4ndnis zwischen Jugendlichen aus Deutschland, Frankreich und Armenien zu vertiefen,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2371\" data-end=\"2455\">\n<p data-start=\"2373\" data-end=\"2455\">und einen nachhaltigen Impuls f\u00fcr ein friedliches, solidarisches Europa zu setzen.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 data-start=\"2457\" data-end=\"2484\"><strong data-start=\"2460\" data-end=\"2484\">Ergebnisse &amp; Wirkung<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"2486\" data-end=\"2860\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">Die Jugendbegegnung <strong data-start=\"2506\" data-end=\"2523\">trug dazu bei<\/strong>, dass junge Menschen sich als aktive Gestalter*innen einer demokratischen Gesellschaft erleben konnten.<br data-start=\"2627\" data-end=\"2630\" \/>Sie <strong data-start=\"2634\" data-end=\"2651\">reflektierten<\/strong>, wie sehr Geschichte und Gegenwart miteinander verbunden sind, und <strong data-start=\"2719\" data-end=\"2735\">entwickelten<\/strong> ein Bewusstsein daf\u00fcr, dass Frieden und Demokratie nicht selbstverst\u00e4ndlich sind \u2013 sondern t\u00e4glich verteidigt werden m\u00fcssen.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section><\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t<\/div><div class=\"et_d4_element et_pb_row et_pb_row_3  et_pb_css_mix_blend_mode et_block_row\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"et_d4_element et_pb_column_4_4 et_pb_column et_pb_column_3  et_pb_css_mix_blend_mode et-last-child et_block_column\">\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"et_pb_module et_d4_element et_pb_text et_pb_text_2  et_pb_text_align_left et_pb_bg_layout_light\">\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"et_pb_text_inner\"><p>An der Jugendbegegnung <strong data-start=\"270\" data-end=\"280\">nahmen<\/strong> insgesamt junge Menschen aus Deutschland, Frankreich und Armenien teil. Jede L\u00e4ndergruppe <strong data-start=\"371\" data-end=\"380\">wurde<\/strong> von einer Partnerorganisation begleitet:<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t<\/div><div class=\"et_d4_element et_pb_row et_pb_row_4  et_pb_css_mix_blend_mode et_block_row\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"et_d4_element et_pb_column_1_3 et_pb_column et_pb_column_4  et_pb_css_mix_blend_mode et_block_column\">\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t<div Peace is when refugees are treated as humans, not as threats.<\/p>\n<p>Anna: Peace isn't soft, it's brave. Sometimes peace means speaking up, when silence would be easier. Germany today, a warning from the past. Germany is seeing a shift to the far-right. Ideas that we thought were gone are growing again.<\/p>\n<p>Ronald: Some people believe hate is the answer to fear. Some believe exclusion is the solution to problems.<\/p>\n<p>Anna: But our history whispers no, it shouts, division destroys peace.<\/p>\n<p>Ronald: We know what happens when voices of democracy stay silent. We know what happens when \u201cUs versus them\u201d becomes normal.<\/p>\n<p>Anna: So let us ask not only how do we prevent war? Because they are a far-right group, and extremists, they call themselves feminists, but in reality, they are xenophobic because they believe that all the non-European immigrants are very aggressive towards women. And they are also racist and homophobic, because they don't accept black women and lesbian women in their group.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, we have the Masculinism. Masculinism is most often a set of reactionary, misogynistic, androcentric and anti-feminist movements that aim at promoting the interests of men at the expense of those of the women. So to have that equality in certain types of jobs we have like a grade to permit to have this equality.<\/p>\n<p>For example for the teachers, it\u2019s the first grade and it's about 1.850 euros per month and in grade 11 it's about 2.800 euros so in 10 years it's about 1.000 euros more.<\/p>\n<p>Then we have the consent, which in France became really important. We have it in the law now. Today saying no or nothing means it didn't have consent. That law was voted last year so it permits the the victims to be protected by the law.<\/p>\n<p>Moreover, there is also an abortion rights, that was legalized in 1975 thanks to Simone Veil, who was the Health Minister at that time. Last year, too, that law was included through the French Constitution, which is a huge step, even though there is still a lot to do.<\/p>\n<p>Finally, there is also paternity leaves, which is about 30 days, and 7 of them are mandatory. It went from 14 days to 30, and it helps the mother to keep her mental health and reduces her pressure after having her baby.<\/p>\n<p>Maelle: Okay, thank you H\u00e9l\u00e8ne for this. Now that we have seen a bit of negative and positive, Rayan, can you explain to us how we can put our hope in education of future generations and to ensure peace in our society and how it works?<\/p>\n<p>Rayan: Of course, education plays a very important role in building peace and equality in France. In recent years, the French education system has tried to become more open, modern, and respectful. Schools are not only teaching academic subjects, but also values like respect, empathy, and dialogue. One big change has been in sexual education. Today, teachers talk more about consent, equality between men and women, and emotional intelligence. These lessons help young people understand the relationship in a healthy way and reduce violence or discrimination. So the goal is to make students feel safe, respected, and aware of their rights by learning about consent and respect. Young people are more likely to build peaceful and fair relationships later in life. Education for peace means today tolerance, listening to others, and understanding diversity. In France, new programs encourage discussion instead of conflict and help create a generation that values equality and mutual respect. In short, improving education, especially sexual education, helps build a society where peace is not just an idea but a way of living together. Thank you, Zara. I'm Anna, and I hope that through our conversation today, we can share some thoughts about peace and how each of us, especially young people, can make a difference.<\/p>\n<p>Zaruhi: Anna, before we dive in, for those who may not be familiar, could we give a brief overview of the situation in Artsakh?<\/p>\n<p>Anna: Sure. Artsakh, also known as Nagorno-Karabakh, is a region in the South Caucasus that has been at the center of the conflict for decades. Over the years, wars and clashes have forced thousands of families to leave their homes. It is a deeply complicated political issue. But, today I would like to focus more on the human side, the lives affected, the dreams interrupted and the pain of displacement.<\/p>\n<p>Zaruhi: Absolutely. And that personal perspective is something our listeners need to hear. Anna, could you share a little about your experience?<\/p>\n<p>Anna: Of course. I was born in Artsakh and grew up in the small town of Martakert with my family. Growing up, I remember having a pretty regular childhood, even though I witnessed and heard about ongoing military actions and bullets flying towards our homes. However, the realization of all the horrors of war unfortunately hit me in 2020. At the time, the clashes escalated and many of my relatives were on the front lines.<\/p>\n<p>I remember a call from my father telling me that it might be our last conversation. I was overwhelmed with fear and sorrow. For a time, Artsakh was under blockade and I still remember the moments when my cousin would ask for something as simple as candy, but the markets were empty. These memories come back to me very often. And each time I am consumed by a profound sense of helplessness.<\/p>\n<p>Zaruhi: And before the podcast, yesterday, we were discussing all the stories of your past. You also told me about how you left your house in Artsakh. Would you feel comfortable sharing that with our listeners?<\/p>\n<p>Anna: Yes. By the end of the blockade, we had to quit our homes where we had lived all our lives. I wasn't there and my brother called me and asked what he should take from our house. And we understood that we probably would never be able to go back. Being forced to pack your whole life in a bag and leave is something I don't wish for anyone. I told my brother to take our family album, which is now one of the few tangible things that we have from our past.<\/p>\n<p>Zaruhi: I can't even imagine Anna. It really makes you understand how devastating war is on a personal level. As someone from Armenia, seeing the stories of people from Artsakh, friends, relatives, it hits really close to home for me too. At the time of war, the whole nation got united around the same idea of trying to help somehow. People didn't even know each other. They were collaborating with each other. They were collecting first aid kits, other resources, and volunteering at food banks.<\/p>\n<p>Anna: Yes, Zara. And, you know, I think that's why peace feels so urgent today. And it's not an abstract idea. It's about children growing up without fear, families not being torn apart, communities not being erased. Peace isn't just political, it's deeply personal.<\/p>\n<p>Zaruhi: Exactly. And I think that's why we wanted to talk about peace today. Sometimes when we think about peace, we think about treaties or negotiations between leaders. But at the end of the day, it starts with empathy, understanding, and small actions that prevent harm in our own lives and communities.<\/p>\n<p>Anna: That's so true. And I think it's also about resilience. Peace doesn't mean forgetting the past or pretending nothing happened. It means acknowledging pain and learning from it.<\/p>\n<p>Zaruhi: Yes, exactly. But there's another point I wanted to add. Peace and war, they seem to be things we all intuitively understand. But after actually experiencing it, you come to realize that there's no hard distinction. The absence of war doesn't mean peace. For example, in Armenia right now, there are no military actions. But I personally don't feel at peace because the aftermath of war is everywhere. You can't find a single neighborhood in Armenian cities where on the buildings you won't see paintings dedicated to young boys and men, soldiers who died in war.<\/p>\n<p>Anna: Speaking about this is very emotional and sometimes hard. Sometimes I feel the weight of pain. But I know that if people stay silent, the lessons of the past might be forgotten. And that's why I wanted to speak here. To let young people in Europe and beyond know the consequences of war.<\/p>\n<p>Zaruhi: Yes, and peace isn't just a word, you know, it's a responsibility. Sometimes people feel helpless when they hear about war happening far away. But, in reality we have to act, to stand against injustice, to foster dialogue and to make sure future generations don't inherit the same suffering.<\/p>\n<p>Anna: Yes, exactly. And I think that's a message for youth everywhere, whether we are in Germany, France, Armenia or any other country. Peace begins with self-reflection and compassion. Even small acts; standing up against bullying, helping refugees, educating others about history. These are building blocks of global peace. At the end of the day peace begins at the individual level and then it spreads outwards.<\/p>\n<p>Zaruhi: That is so true. And I want to leave our listeners with this thought. Take a moment today and think, what can I do to make peace real in my life? Not tomorrow, not in some distant future, but today. Because each small choice, each act of understanding or kindness contributes to a world where war doesn't define our lives.
